Namaste. On behalf of our faculty, staff, and students, I welcome you all to the Institute of Medicine (IOM), the premier medical institute of Nepal. As the Dean of this prestigious institute, I take great pride in continuing the legacy of the best medical education center in Nepal. Our institute has been providing the finest medical, dental, nursing, and allied health sciences education since its founding in 1972 AD.
In this noble field of healthcare, our institute stands out as a beacon of knowledge, dedication, compassion, care, and excellence. Our institution is a community of passionate individuals committed to advancing healthcare education and services, hence improving the lives of Nepalese people and shaping the future of the healthcare sector in Nepal.
Our endeavor to provide quality healthcare professional education in the country has been in operation via 7 constituent campuses, 1 central department, and 15 affiliate colleges that are spread all over Nepal. Our academic courses which are enriched with meticulously designed comprehensive curricula shape our students into sound practitioners with the extensive knowledge required to confront the challenges of today’s rapidly changing society as well as the morals and ethics essential to maintain the dignity of healthcare services.
I strongly believe that healthcare professional education is not just about acquiring knowledge and skills; it is also about fostering critical thinking, feeling of empathy, and instilling a sense of accountability towards the well-being of our patients.
